RTE launches catchup player

Yesterday, RTE debuted the beta version of their online video catchup service, their own version of the BBC iPlayer and first impressions are good. The RTE player makes more than 200 hours of RTE programming available including news, sport, current affairs, movies and entertainment programmes. It’s got a slick Flash interface and with very low waiting times while seeking within programmes. Well Done RTE.

    Excellent! Why do I find it so surprising that they’ve done a good job on this?
