Beyoncé surprises Harlem kids during dance-time

After Beyoncé made a dance-move friendly video for Michelle Obama’s campaign against childhood obesity she dropped into a Harlem school for an impromptu visit as the students were doing the dance. She delighted the students by joining in.

After debuting his “moving painting” for debut single Power (and the new remix just this morning), Kanye uploaded another new poppier R&B tune called See Me Now on his blog. Extra points for the line “I’mma let you finish but I got Beyonce on the track.”

Rosanna
Rosanna (pictured) has all the requirements for a pop star – 1) She’s Swedish. 2) She sounds like a cross between Lykke Li and Robyn. 3) She’s signed to Popjustice’s new label. 4) Her debut single Waterfall sounds like a hit.

Solange Knowles covers Dirty Projectors
Beyonce’s younger sister gifts us her own version of Brooklyn band Dirty Projectors’ Stillness in the Move (itself one of the best songs of the year), done in an R&B style.

New Hot Chip – Take it in
After revealing that the followup to Made in the Dark is to be called One Life Stand and will be released in February, they debuted this taster track from the album. Watch out for a Dublin date shortly too.

The Sandwitches
As featured on the influential Gorilla Vs. Bear music blog, The Sandwitches are a San Fran three-piece which hark back to the good ole naive times when rock and roll was new, fresh and upbeat.

Jape remixes Patrick Kelleher
Debuted on Nialler9.com last week, Richie Egan’s mix of Wonder is the first taste of the forthcoming remix album of Kelleher’s debut. The album is due in the New Year on Osaka Records and will feature remixes from Irish artists like Legion of Two, David Kitt, Hunter-Gatherer, Cat Scars, Skinny Wolves, Katie Kim and Hulk.
