Follow a musician Friday

Anyone who uses Twitter on a regular basis will have seen the #followfriday hashtag, in which people recommend other people worth following. In the spirit of things, here are Day and Night’s current favourite tweeting musicians and artists.

Who: Marina & the Diamonds (@marinasdiamonds)
Why?: As well as being a talented and gorgeous individual, burgeoning pop star Marina is also a genuinely nice person. It’s interesting to watch such a person become a pop star, which trust us, despite her tweet below, she will be by summer 2010.

Who: Adebisi Shank (@adebisishank)
Why?: Humorous tweets from the Dublin frenetic rock trio taking in occasional reports from tours in Japan.

Calvin tweets his spleen

What a busy time it is for Calvin Harris. Hit singles, 8 successful JamTV episodes, the world’s first human synthesizer, regular high-profile festival slots and a new album Ready For The Weekend released only last week. So, you would think that Harris has little to complain about. Wrong.

Ready For The Weekend has been the recipient of generally negative reviews (Day and Night’s own John Meagher gave it one star) and Mr. Harris couldn’t take it any more.
